I’ve had a passion as far back as I can remember for helping others to become the best they can be. Starting in psychiatric nursing with my Bachelor’s in Nursing in 1974, I went on to receive my Master’s in Nursing in 2018. Mental Health has changed dramatically over the years yet has also stayed the same. The process involves the use of various forms of psychotherapy, complimentary approaches and/or medications to help ease your suffering and your struggles. Through this process, you can find your unique path to a fulfilling life. Over the years, I have worked with individuals facing a variety of life’s challenges on their path to healing and wholeness. I’ve experience with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, Bipolar Disorder and SMI amongst others.

Additionally, I’m comfortable exploring spiritual growth and concerns. I have a Master’s in Divinity with 25 years of experience as a UMC pastor. This role involved counseling and spiritual guidance. There are ways to work with you without any particular religious bias. Through a Chaplaincy training program I came to understand the different ways people experience their spiritual selves. I’ve also had training in Gestalt Pastoral Care which melds Spiritual healing and psychotherapy.

We will utilize a combination of approaches in your treatment depending on your comfort level, goals and struggles. This is a mutual endeavor. Through the process of therapy and medications you can find hope to move forward in your life and find a path that utilizes all your gifts and promises.
